The Flash

The fastest player on the field without question, Flash is the premiere defensive back against the long ball. He is an adept open field tackler, which the grease-quick Thomson’s gazelle can attest to. Watching these two great athletes battle down field is what legends are made of.

Flash is a sprinter, not a distance runner. He can become winded at times, posing a problem when the opposing offense throws the long ball a great deal. Watch for a substitution after several long passes. Flash takes chiding from players and fans that he is on the soft side, in terms of his conditioning.
