Bobacat

The bobcat can be distinguished by its stubby tail and its light brown and black markings. The length of the body is forty inches from head to tail and they can weigh thirty-five pounds. The bobcat lives a solitary life in Southern Canada, the United States and southern Mexico. Bobcats feed mainly on hares and cottontail rabbits but can kill deer on occasion. Females give birth to two or three young after sixty-two days of gestation.
