Bobacat
The
bobcat can be distinguished by its stubby tail and its light brown and
black markings. The length of the body is forty inches from head to
tail and they can weigh thirty-five pounds. The bobcat lives a solitary
life in Southern Canada, the United States and southern Mexico. Bobcats
feed mainly on hares and cottontail rabbits but can kill deer on
occasion. Females give birth to two or three young after sixty-two days
of gestation.
